What is Miso? 

Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning made by fermenting grains such as soybeans, barley, rice with salt and koji (the fungus Aspergillus oryzae) .The result is a thick paste used for making soup, sauces, dressing or marinade  meats and fish.
